This year’s campaign is focused on raising funds for the Ottawa Food Bank. Our local Food Bank has seen a 24% increase in demand with the rapid increase in inflation over the past year. Every day, it distributes 14 tons of food to its 26 community food banks and 112 member agencies. It can, with its bulk buying power and ability to negotiate deals with supermarkets, leverage every $1 donation into $5 worth of food. Our members are digging into their pockets and approaching family and friends to support this worthy cause. |
