Welcome to IODE Laurentian, one of two IODE chapters in Ottawa. IODE Laurentian is a group of approximately 40 women of all ages, who come together with a common goal of helping others through a wide variety of fundraising events. I follow on in the footsteps of many Presidents who have gone before me starting in 1906 with Lady Sybil Grey. I am a proud 4th generation member of IODE and not only am I President of IODE Laurentian, but I also hold offices at the Provincial and National levels.
Chapter members are currently busy organizing fundraising events for 2026. This is an exciting year for IODE Laurentian as we celebrate 120 years of service on May 3rd. Members and guests will be having a celebratory luncheon on May 20th! As well as helping our community here in Ottawa with scholarships, bursaries, assistance to women and youth shelters and Banff Ave Community House members also support a nursing station and two adopted classes in northern Ontario. Please keep any eye on this website and our Facebook and Instagram pages for more information about the Chapter’s activities throughout the year. We welcome women of any age to come and join us and make a difference in the lives of those in need. If you are currently working, about to or have recently retired or are looking for a way to give back to your community I welcome you to come to a meeting or an event - you won’t regret the time spent with like minded women. Lifelong friendships are made through IODE. |
